Funders save lives
Initially, treating cancer during pregnancy seemed impossible, forcing women to choose between their own health and their baby's life. Our groundbreaking research, made possible through the generous support of our funders, changed this reality. We've proven that cancer can be treated effectively during pregnancy
More babies are on the way
Many areas remain unexplored
Significant knowledge gaps remain in our understanding of cancer in pregnancy, and your support is crucial to bridge these gaps. With your help, we can advance our research, develop better treatment protocols, and ensure that future babies are born healthy and unharmed.
The Fund supports both the overall operations of our research group and specific studies targeting these critical issues. It also provides opportunities for young researchers to gain professional, clinical, and technical expertise and contributes to patient-focused social projects.

Alicia learned about the ‘Cancer and Pregnancy’ research at KU Leuven earlier by chance. 'It is to be admired that someone puts their heart and soul into a project to help others at an already not easy stage of life, being when they hear they have cancer. I would like to contribute to that, and hopefully even more people can be helped by these studies.' Thank you very much, Alicia, for this generous donation!
